From Birthday Celebration to a Commitment to Care

“After coming here, I feel that whatever we can do is still not enough.”

Birthdays are often celebrated with family, friends, gifts, and festivities. But for Praveen Lodha, his birthday became an opportunity to do something meaningful for people who need care, compassion, and support.

Praveen Lodha, accompanied by Bindiya Ji and Sanjay Ji, visited Manav Parivar Trust and spent time understanding the work being done for more than 800 mentally challenged brothers and sisters residing at the Trust.

“I Felt That Something Really Needs to Be Done Here”

Praveen shared that he is already associated with several social organizations. However, after learning about Manav Parivar Trust and seeing the work being done here, he felt a strong desire to contribute.

“I am connected with many other organizations as well, but after seeing this, I felt that something really needs to be done here. Whatever their intention and vision is, we will always be ready to support them in whatever way we can.”

His words reflect an important aspect of meaningful social service—the willingness to step forward when you see a genuine need.

A Birthday With a Different Meaning

During the visit, Praveen was wished a very happy birthday by the residents and the entire team of Manav Parivar Trust.

The occasion became even more special because another member of the visiting group was also celebrating a birthday.

With smiles and laughter, they joked:

“Today, everyone has a birthday!”

But behind the celebration was something much deeper—a decision to use the occasion to bring happiness and support to others.

“I Wanted to Do Something Good on My Birthday”

Before even visiting the Trust, Praveen had already decided that he wanted to do something meaningful for his birthday.

He explained that Bindiya Ji had shown him the Trust’s social media page while they were on their way to the Trust. After seeing it, they decided that his birthday should become an opportunity to contribute.

“On the way here, Bindiya Ji showed me your social media page. That is when we decided that since it is my birthday, I should do something good.”

At that point, however, they had not yet seen the Trust personally.

What happened after they arrived changed his perspective completely.

“Whatever We Can Do Is Still Not Enough”

After personally witnessing the environment, the residents, and the work of the team, Praveen felt that simply making a financial contribution was not enough.

“After coming here, it feels like whatever we can do is still not enough.”

He emphasized that supporting such an institution is not only about giving money.

There needs to be genuine involvement.

Service Requires Involvement and Care

Praveen highlighted that caring for the residents requires much more than financial resources.

They need attention, activities, care, companionship, and continuous support.

“It is not something that can be solved just by giving something or donating money. Everyone needs to be involved. These people need care. They need activities. They need to be looked after.”

He appreciated the Trust’s team for taking responsibility for the residents and providing them with the care and attention they require.

“What you are doing here is a very good thing.”

Turning a Birthday Into a Memory

Praveen also decided to make a contribution on his birthday as a lasting memory of the day.

He expressed his intention to do whatever he could according to his capacity before leaving the Trust.

For him, this was no longer just another birthday.

It had become a day connected with service, compassion, and meaningful contribution.

The team also told him that this birthday would remain a lifetime memory—and he happily agreed.

A Birthday Worth Remembering

A birthday can be memorable because of a celebration, a gift, or a special gathering.

But some birthdays become unforgettable because they are connected with an act of kindness.

Praveen Lodha came to Manav Parivar Trust with the intention of doing something good on his birthday.

After seeing the reality firsthand, he left with an even stronger understanding of what meaningful service requires.

His experience carries a powerful message:

Giving is important, but caring is equally important. Supporting an institution is valuable, but becoming involved in its mission can create an even greater impact.

At Manav Parivar Trust, every act of kindness can become a source of hope for someone who needs it.

And for Praveen, his birthday became more than a celebration.

It became a day of service—a birthday he will remember for a lifetime.
